Most of you may have noticed that we have recently just released a new component, JomSocial. If you still have not heard about it yet, it is actually a social networking that sits on top of Joomla!. If you want to read more about it, just head on to JomSocial's website . I have personally received a couple of queries on whether the developments of our other components will be halted and the answer is a BIG NO.
We have been working on Nice Talk 1.0 right now and still undergoing some tests at this point of time. When released however, it will be Joomla! 1.5 native and will no longer support the older version of Joomla 1.0.
What about My Blog and Jom Comment? Yes, not to worry we are currently working on My Blog 3.0 which will fully support Joomla 1.5 natively and also have a couple of new features added. ;)
Anyways, Merry Christmas in advance =)

I have been looking for ways to speed up MyBlog editor loading and Google Gears caught my attention. Google Gears is basically a browser plugin by Google that provide additional functionality to your browser, among other things, caching files locally! Bingo.
To get stright to the point, we have already implemented Google Gears support in our internal release. All javascript, including tinyMCE, css and images files will be loaded from your local cache. The editor now loads significantly faster and I am sure you will be pleased. We'll run a couple more test and will make this feature optional. I can't wait to roll this out!

We have recently released My Blog 2.0.1 and Jom Comment 3.0.1 which includes pretty much of bug fixes since the initial beta release. Some of you might have been wondering why are there more bug fixes as opposed to new features. The main reason is because we are actually modifying the structure of both these components to have backward compatibilities where they both work on Joomla 1.0 and Joomla 1.5 with the same set of codes.
After making these structural changes, we should see some new features added in the next major release of My Blog and Jom Comment.

Yes, you can now follow us on twitter now. If you already have twitter account, just head to http://twitter.com/azrul . This is rather experimental, but we will post updates and let you know what's going on around azrul.com office rather frequently.
So, if you havea twitter account? Why not join us? Maybe we'll have an integrated twitter support in MyBlog soon? :)

Hello all,
As most of you already know, in the past week we made a business decision to remove the free version of MyBlog, NiceTalk, and Jomcomment from our site. These products will now be fully commercial. For those of you who are currently using the free version of any of these products, you can continue to use them but however to get product updates, a purchase would need to be made for the product. In any case, you can always buy MyBlog and if you are not happy with it, there is a 7 day money back guarantee, although I am very confident that you will not be disappointed, with MyBlog being the only blogging component in Joomla! that comes close to WordPress.
MyBlog 0.9 Build 3 is now finished and released. It might take some time for the new release to be put onto the email updates page, as well as Plimus (our sales solution). For existing customers of MyBlog, if you would like to get the new build right away, please send us an email with the email address that you used to purchase MyBlog and we will send you the latest build.

After weeks of toiling and nailing bugs, we are getting real close to bringing out a stable version of MyBlog - stable meaning all major bugs exterminated. MyBlog 0.9 Build 2 addresses a lot of the issues of not being able to save a blog entry in the Dashboard, and should be a fix for most, if not all, users.
Our next step would be to release the Pro version of MyBlog, which would have the 'Powered by...' footer removed, as well as a few additional MyBlog templates to choose from. In the process we will also be looking into feature additions for both the standard and pro versions of MyBlog.
Someone did mention the trackback does not work, so I'll try trackbacking to one entry on this site and see if it works.

is now in the Top 5 Highest Rated Extensions , thanks to all our users' support and help in making MyBlog one of the best (if not the best) blogging component for Joomla! If you haven't rated or reviewed MyBlog, please head over to the Joomla Extensions Directory and rate/review MyBlog!
In the next week or so, we will be working towards bringing MyBlog out of Beta and into a stable release version. Feature additions will be minimal until we get the bugs all squashed and exterminated =). If you encounter a bug, do email us at support@azrul.com , or visit our support forum.
Have a nice weekend everyone.
