We have recently released My Blog 2.0.1 and Jom Comment 3.0.1 which includes pretty much of bug fixes since the initial beta release. Some of you might have been wondering why are there more bug fixes as opposed to new features. The main reason is because we are actually modifying the structure of both these components to have backward compatibilities where they both work on Joomla 1.0 and Joomla 1.5 with the same set of codes.
After making these structural changes, we should see some new features added in the next major release of My Blog and Jom Comment.

This week is quite a hectic week for us. On top of working on JomComment 3.0 and MyBlog 2.0 , we are also in charge of organizing Joomla Daya Malaysia 2008. We are always committed to spread Joomla! love around, especially at our hometown, Malaysia. This would be our 2nd year organizing JoomlaDay as project manager, with help from Joomla-My community.
We actually have no idea that there are just so many Joomla user in Malaysia. We originally prepare the venue and the event for 150 participant, but we quickly run out of seat and had to open an extra 50 seat, which again were snapped very very quickly.
For JDay this year, Toby Patterson from Joomla.org will be giving a talk on Joomla 1.5 and component development. I will also give a talk on Joomla 1.5 template development. A couple of local Joomla expert will guide new users to get their site up and running.
Recently, we have noticed that there are a couple of users who are actually unable to connect to our support desk located at http://support.azrul.com . While we are trying to rectify the issues with our upstream Internet Service Provider, it is actually quite difficult for us to locate the bottlenecks since most of us are able to access the site.
Nevertheless, if you do fall into the above, you would still be able to access our support forums at http://forum.azrul.com and any emails sent to support@azrul.com are actually retrieved by our support desk.
Anyway, if you are experiencing issues connecting to our support desk, I would like to request for your assistance to send me an email at mark@azrul.com or support@azrul.com with a "ping" report, "traceroute" report and also your IP address so that I would be able to further look into the issues.
