MyBlog 0.9 build 2

Posted by: heng woon in testingmyblogdevelopment on

After weeks of toiling and nailing bugs, we are getting real close to bringing out a stable version of MyBlog - stable meaning all major bugs exterminated. MyBlog 0.9 Build 2 addresses a lot of the issues of not being able to save a blog entry in the Dashboard, and should be a fix for most, if not all, users.

Our next step would be to release the Pro version of MyBlog, which would have the 'Powered by...' footer removed, as well as a few additional MyBlog templates to choose from. In the process we will also be looking into feature additions for both the standard and pro versions of MyBlog.

Someone did mention the trackback does not work, so I'll try trackbacking to one entry on this site and see if it works.

Great that the work with Myblog is progressing! smilies/grin.gif

I have just tried to download, but I still get 0.8 build 14. Can u update the download to the new version?

Also: I am looking forward to a pro version of Myblog. I am one of the persons who actually payed to get Myblog, but so far I have been stuck with the same version as those who download it for free.

One thing that is HIGH on the agenda of wishes for the pro version is integration with Artio JomSEF.

All the best and keep up the good work smilies/smiley.gif

Is the russian translation going to be implemented in MyBlog? JoComment just took on the language of my joomla installation (RU) which was amazing. Any promising features such as that for MyBlog?
2. Will the dashboard be integrated into joomla interface, or open in a new page again (which is pretty disturbing)
Thank you, azrul, you rule

Luca >> You will need to use Section Manager to delete the MyBlog section, as uninstalling MyBlog does not touch any existing data.

Yuri >> MyBlog should work with Jomcomment.

Vladimir >> Language translations are not yet available for MyBlog, but it will be in the near future. If you don't like the dashboard opening up in a new window, you can open it up in a thickbox. Just create a menu link-url to index.php?option=com_myblog&admin=1&lightbox=1

Hi

This seems like a great product. Still a bit buggy though.
* The dashboard close link is hidden behind the toolbars if you have a lot of them.
* It does not support international letters like å,ä and ö. You can write with them, but if you click a tag or a blog name it gives errors.
But this seams to have great potential. When it gets stable I will buy this component.
