Coming up, Jom Comment 1.9

Jom Comment 1.9 is currently under heavy development and a few beta version has been released. There are quite a bit of changes in the release, the most important being the use of our own internal libraries instead of using Joomla API call.
We have decided to do this for a few reasons, but mainly to help us port all our apps across J1.0 , J1.5 and possibly Mambo as well.
1.9 is a pretty significant release. You can look forward to some major new features, such as reworked backend interface, support for social bookmarking, voting features, report comment to admin, email subscription, favorite article and many more.
If you are interested to test the beta, just head to the forum at http://forum.azrul.com sign up as a member and request to be a member by writing a pm to 'mark' .

I'm hungry  Hope with these changements it will fix some code inconsistance (2-3 bbcode/url parsers in jomcomment now! it give different result between ajax version and full version of the comment, in shortenURL functions...). |

The coolest feature you can add is to disable html tags on mesages... hate when users love to use the "enter key" leaving great spaces in messages like this: (Im only doing this for demostration porpuses and for you to see how hateful it is.) see??? you should add control over this-.. |

azrul, popup comments would be a great option, esp. when you have a site that can potentially get 100s of comments which can overload the server for the 80% of visitors who aren't interested in reading comments. |

I love JomComment, but it appears I'll need to shop for another solution at least for now as we are having trouble sorting through 40-80 comments per week. Any chance you are looking into adding threaded comments anytime soon? |
