Look Out Everyone, Jom Comment 1.6 is coming!!!

For the past few weeks, abouts, we’ve been busy listening to you, tweaking and improving Jom Comment. So, after days and nights of working, we’ve released a few Beta version of Jom Comment 1.6 for a select group to test it out already. Give a few more days to finally release it to the public.

Anyway, here’s what to expect for Jom Comment 1.6:

+ one-step installation. Previously installing Jom Comment was easy. Now it’s even EASIER!

+ an all new look for backend

+ improved admin backend

+ new templates

+ CB integration, display CB avatar and link back t CB profiles

+ added Spam protection. More Spam control, Spam bot detection, link density detection, throttling protection, detect duplicate entries, auto-block spam IP.

+ tons of bugs fixed

And much more!!!

Is spam detection due to too many posts, or not enough text compared to the links? 	There need to be a balance between the spam detection and performance. I am already working on a better duplicate entry test. It won't be tested right away, perhaps at interval, say every 30 mins to 1 hour. Too much testing might slow things down for 90% of your user, which is a legitimate user anyway.
