Finally, Jom Comment 1.6 is Out in the Loose PDF Print E-mail

Last week, we were rigorously testing out Jom Comment 1.6 before we could release out into the wild. *holds breath* We are happy to announce that Jom Comment is ready for you to download!


There are plenty of features that are added to Jom Comment 1.6 plus an all new look for the back-end. We’ve included a special surprise for Jom Comment 1.6 Professional Version.

+ One-step installation

Previously, lots of you were cheering how simple installing Jom Comment is. Azrul has made it even simpler with just one-step, i.e. one-file installation with Jom Comment. Setting up Jom Comment is just a matter of seconds.

+ An all new look and improved backend

Check out the new clean and slick look of back-end. A side-control panel makes it easier for you to access admin controls without going to tree menus. It’s all faster and easier.

+Community Builder integration now added

So now Jom Comment will display your CB avatars and CB profiles too.


+ More Spam Control

Jom Comment now has added more Spam protection. Spam bot detection, link density detection, throttling protection, detect duplicate entries and auto-block Spam IP.


+Miscellaneous Bug Fixes
We’re committed to making Jom Comment stable. Several bugs have been fixed in this upgraded version.


+ Surprise for Professional Version only

Jom Comment Professional version gets a new template named chatter. It’s used at www.azrul.com . Go check it out and try it. Real cool!

Can you turn it into a forum?

I would like to see a threaded discussion mode, so the comments becomes a forum.

A 5 or 10 star comment rating system would be nice. Might as well throw in a 'Flag Comment' button to alert monitors for trolls, obscene stuff and cut n' paste spammers.

One final suggestion, I would like to see a 'Preview' mode, instead of just the 'Add Comment' button.

I hope Santa is reading this. We've all been good this year. smilies/grin.gif

Q? In version 1.6.1 where is the Latest Comments feature?

I just updated to the most recent version of JomComment and I was wondering where the Most Recent or Latest Comments feature is? It was a nice touch to have it on the front page, so site visitors could see the most recent comments to stories and artciles.

This Joomla commenting system is becoming the slickest extension for my sites. Great work and kudos to the JomComment team.
